Sevilla coach Garcia Pimienta shares Akor Adams update ahead of Rayo Vallecano clash

Sevilla coach Garcia Pimienta has confirmed that Nigerian striker Akor Adams will be unavailable for their travel to Rayo Vallecano on Saturday as he is yet to reach full fitness, Soccernet.ng reports.

Adams has been out of action for three weeks due to an injury to his right tendon. However, he returned to training at Sevilla the start of the week.

But as Soccernet.ng reported earlier, it would have been almost impossible for the 25-year-old forward to return to action this weekend when Sevilla play Rayo Vallecano at Campo de Futbol de Vallecas.

Adams needs to start scoring goals for Sevilla when he gets back to full fitness if he wants to make a big impact.

The club need to wake up after a disappointing start to the season. They need to end the season in one of the European spots.

Aside from helping Sevilla secure a good finish in LaLiga, Adams has to prove himself worthy before he can break into the Super Eagles squad.
