Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was in good spirits at the State house in Marina where he bantered Chelsea Legend, Didier Drogba, Soccernet.ng reports.
Drogba’s courtesy visit was part of an engagement between Team Drogba and the representatives of the E1 Racing Team with the Lagos State Government.
The City of Lagos is set to host the E1 World Championships in September. Top officials from the all-electric race boat competition arrived in the state yesterday and went around to review the conditions of things that need to be put in place in a bid to make the competition one for the ages.
When the former Chelsea striker met the Lagos state governor, there was a bit of football banter shared with the side. Governor Sanwo-Olu trolled Drogba for being an ex-Arsenal fan while reiterating he’s a fan of the Gunners himself. Watch the video here;

“I like to play against Arsenal because they used to be the team people supported in France because of all the French players there, so I was supporting them as well, but since I am [at] Chelsea I do the job for my team and I am really delighted when we win like this,” the 46-year-old said as per Four Four Two.
In 15 games for Chelsea against the Gunners, the retired Ivorian forward scored 10 goals and provided four assists, and was a constant thorn in Arsenal’s flesh.
Arsenal, on the other hand, this season, have rekindled their title race against Liverpool at the top of the English Premier League table, following their 5-1 win over Manchester City on Sunday.
