“God’s work” – Flying Eagles hopeful reacts to signing with Tottenham Hotspur

Flying Eagles hopeful Damola Ajayi has signed a professional contract extension with English Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur, Soccernet.ng reports.

The London-born winger of Nigerian descent joined the club in 2022 and has impressed Spurs management, who are keen to secure his future.

Following this extension, Ajayi will remain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium until 2028, giving him ample time to continue his growth and development.

Reacting to the new deal, the 19-year-old starlet shared a black-and-white picture of himself signing the contract on his social media page, captioning it: “God’s work.”

The Spurs Academy also celebrated the extension, stating: “We’re delighted to confirm that Damola Ajayi has signed a new deal with the club, running until 2028. Congratulations, Damola!”

Under the guidance of manager Ange Postecoglou, Ajayi earned his first UEFA Europa League call-up during Tottenham’s 2-1 away clash against Ferencváros. However, he remained on the bench throughout the game.

Despite limited senior opportunities so far, the Flying Eagles-eligible forward has showcased his talent in Tottenham’s youth ranks.

The Nigeria-eligible forward has scored 19 goals in 42 games for the U-18s and added five goals for the U-21s, leaving fans hopeful about his potential impact on the senior team in the future.
