Watch: Akor Adams makes first appearance in Sevilla ahead of potential four-year deal

Nigerian striker Akor Adams has arrived in Sevilla for medicals and final negotiations as he inches closer to securing a potential four-year deal with the Spanish giants, Soccernet.ng reports.

Earlier reports suggested that the Super Eagles-eligible forward, who has endured a challenging start to his second season in France, was in advanced talks with the seven-time Europa League champions over a move.

As anticipated, Adams arrived in Spain today to undergo his medicals and finalise negotiations. A video shared by ZonaMixta captured the Nigerian alongside his agent, smiling and posing for a picture upon his arrival at the club.

The former Lillestrom forward is set to join Sevilla on a potential four-year deal worth around €5.5 million.

This move makes Adams the third Nigerian at the club, joining Kelechi Iheanacho and Chidera Ejuke, who both signed during the 2024 summer transfer window.

Adams is expected to bolster Sevilla’s attacking options, bringing his proven goal-scoring prowess to address their struggles in front of goal.

He netted double-digit goals in his debut season at Montpellier and tallied an impressive 28 goals in 50 appearances for Lillestrom.

However, his arrival could spell trouble for Iheanacho, who has struggled for form at Sevilla. With Isaac Romero and now Akor Adams vying for the top attacking spots, Iheanacho may face further competition and risk falling down the pecking order.
