“Top confidence player” – Fulham boss Marco Silva lauds Super Eagles star ahead of Brighton clash

Alex Iwobi has been in decent form for Fulham this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in thirteen league games.

Fulham head coach, Marco Silva, has praised Super Eagles attacking midfielder, Alex Chuka Iwobi for his performance this season, riling him up to come up with the goods in tonight’s clash against Brighton and Hove Albion, Soccernet.ng reports.

Iwobi has been in decent form for Fulham this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in thirteen league games, and is on course to having his best attacking output ever in the English top-flight.

The former Arsenal man scored in Fulham’s loss to Wolves and was a provider in their away draw to Tottenham Hotspur, proving his creative strength for the Cottagers.

Speaking ahead of Fulham’s clash against Brighton and Hove Albion tonight, the Portuguese manager heaped praise on Iwobi.

“I call him a happy boy. When you are in a happy place, when you are so positive and people around you are positive, I think good things will come to you. You never see him panic in any moment of the game. He is going to be a top confidence player,” the Fulham coach said as revealed by Jack Kelly.

Fulham face Arsenal after their Brighton clash, and Silva revealed it’ll be an important clash.

“About the schedule, the next one is the more important one for us. It’s going to be Brighton, and after will come Arsenal. We respect all the teams in the same way.

Sometimes, if you talk with the football people, with our fans, they expected us to take much more from the Wolves game at home than Tottenham away from home, and the reality in the Tottenham game is we took one point and deserved more, and against Wolves, even if we deserved much more, we didn’t take [anything], and football is like that.

The Premier League is the best example of what I’m talking about, and we have to be always in our best, we have to reach our certain standards that are important for us,” he told the club’s official website.

Brighton are currently 5th on the English Premier League table while Fulham are 12th, level on points with Manchester United.
