After Iwobi and Tolu, Lazio star Dele-Bashiru brings Christmas cheer to pediatric patients

Nigerian and Lazio midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has embraced the spirit of Christmas with a heartfelt gesture on Christmas Eve, Soccernet.ng reports.

Dele-Bashiru visited the Pediatrics department of the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome, where he distributed gifts to young patients, brightening their holiday season.

Lazio shared photos and videos of the visit on social media, highlighting the club’s commitment to community and goodwill.

Dele-Bashiru, who joined Lazio from Hatayspor on loan until the end of the season, has enjoyed an eventful start to life in Italy.

The Super Eagles star scored his first Serie A goal against Bologna in November and has managed a further two goals and two assists in four Europa League appearances.

The former Manchester City lad will aim to make his stay in Italy permanent with Lazio obligated to keep him beyond his summer.

Nigerian Football Stars Spread Christmas Joy

Galatasaray’s star forward Victor Osimhen returned to his roots in Nigeria for the holidays, bringing smiles to the residents of Olusosun, a Lagos community where he grew up.

On Christmas Eve, Osimhen distributed 2,000 tricycles, bags of rice, cartons of noodles, and other food items.

He instructed that food supplies be given to mothers while the tricycles were allocated to youths, providing them with a means of livelihood.

Tolu Arokodare, the Genk striker, joined forces with his teammate Noah Adedeji to support Vincentius, a local charity in Belgium.

Together, they helped distribute food parcels to families in need during the Christmas holidays.

Arokodare, one of the standout players in the Belgian Pro League with 11 goals this season, actively participated in packaging fresh meals, contributing to the 20 tonnes of food distributed monthly by Sint-Vincentius Genk Zutendaal.

Alex Iwobi

Fulham midfielder and Nigerian international Alex Iwobi launched a thoughtful initiative in East London, setting up a temporary shop called “Alexpress” to provide free meals to families in need.

Residents received turkeys and groceries, easing their financial burdens during the festive period.
