Ola Aina snubs Lookman, Osimhen, Chukwueze, names Super Eagles’ most skillful player

Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has stated that Fulham star Alex Iwobi is the most skillful player in the Super Eagles squad, Soccernet.ng reports.

Nigeria boast of many quality players in Europe, with most of them plying their trades in the top five leagues. Among those stars is Forest defender Aina. The 28-year-old defender has been part of the team since 2017, with 40 caps under his belt.

Of course, while on national duty, Aina has taken note of the qualities of his compatriots, and in a recent interview, he revealed that he sees Iwobi as the most skillful player in the squad.

“Alex Iwobi is the most skillful player on the team. If you’re going to say Samuel Chukwueze, he has the body movement, but we are talking about skills,” Aina said on the Counter Attack podcast.

Iwobi has been a consistent member of the Super Eagles since his debut in 2015. When he first broke into the scene, he was widely touted as the perfect replacement for Jay-Jay Okocha due to their family ties and his flair.

However, much of that flair has reduced over the years. Iwobi currently plies his trade for Fulham, and he is having a good season with two goals and one assist in nine appearances.
