“I am here until the end of the season” – Four clubs on hold as Victor Osimhen commits to Galatasaray

Napoli-owned Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has confirmed he will remain at Galatasaray until the end of the season, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Nigerian attacker secured a loan move to Galatasaray from Napoli following a transfer tussle between his representative and the Serie A club over his departure.

Osimhen, who scored a brace against Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in their recent Europa League clash, is enjoying his time with the Turkish giants.

Despite strong interest from four clubs willing to trigger his £75 million release clause, the 25-year-old striker has made it clear he will not be leaving in January 2025, putting an end to any speculation about his future.

“They are talking about January. I am here until the end of the season. I don’t know what Galatasaray and Napoli are talking about after that… We will talk when they tell me. This is a club I really like,” Osimhen stated, as quoted by Nexus Sports, reaffirming his commitment to Galatasaray.

The forward’s firm stance has put the four clubs, who have reportedly approached Napoli with offers for Osimhen, on hold.

According to football insider Buchi Lamba, these clubs are eager to pay the new release clause, but Osimhen’s commitment to Galatasaray means no move will be possible until at least the summer.
