Everton considering deal for Nigerian striker on Aston Villa, Chelsea’s radar

English Premier League club Everton are considering a transfer for Nigerian striker Uche Christantus, Soccernet.ng reports.

Christantus only joined Spanish La Liga club Getafe during the summer transfer window for €500,000. However, he seems to have made a big impression at the club.

The 21-year-old striker has registered just one goal in 13 appearances in La Liga. But top clubs, especially in England have been monitoring his situation at Getafe.

Recall that Soccernet.ng had previously reportedSoccernet.ng had previously reported that Chelsea, Bournemouth, and Aston Villa have been keeping tabs on Christantus. Well, it appears that they are not the only side interested in him.

According to Givemesport, Everton are showing concrete interest in signing Christantus from Getafe. The young striker is valued at €20 million, but he could be available for €15 million by next summer.

However, Getafe may be adamant to let the Nigerian striker leave any time soon, as he still has four years left on his deal with a one-year extension clause.

Everton are currently 16th in the Premier League, with just ten goals after eleven games. And coach Sean Dyche will be desperate to add some quality to the frontline. As such, the Toffees could put in their resources to sign Christantus by the January transfer window.
