Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface has named Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen as the most famous person on his contact list, Soccernet.ng reports.
Boniface made the revelation when he took part in a fun social media challenge alongside his Bayer Leverkusen teammates, unveiling their phone’s number-one contact.
The Bundesliga club joined the trend of asking players to name their most well-known contacts, and Boniface’s answer came without hesitation.
In a video shared on Instagram by the official Bundesliga account, Boniface revealed that his most famous contact is none other than fellow Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen.
Smiling at the camera, Boniface was asked if he was ready to reveal the name, to which he responded with a laugh, “I start already?” He then confidently answered, “Victor Osimhen.”
Osimhen is easily one of the most influential African footballers at the moment after a successful career during which he has won numerous awards in France, Italy, and Nigeria.
The 25-year-old forward is the first Nigerian footballer to be valued at 100 million euros and the reigning African Player of the Year.
The 2023 Serie A Footballer of the Year is currently on loan at Galatasaray where he has registered four goals and four assists in seven appearances.
On the other hand, Boniface made his breakthrough at Belgium’s Union Saint-Gilloise from where he joined Bayer Leverkusen last year.
Boniface could not have asked for a better start to life in Germany as he netted 21 goals and provided nine assists as Leverkusen lifted the Bundesliga title and the DFB Pokal. Bayer Leverkusen also reached the final of the Europa League.
Following their success in the European circuits, Boniface and Osimhen have made a public show of their friendship.
