“They can’t stop Icardi and me” – Victor Osimhen warns rivals after Galatasaray win

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk made his side more dangerous in their Europa League campaign with the pairing of Victor Osimhen and Mauro Icardi

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has sent a stern warning to rivals after Galatasaray’s narrow 4-3 victory over Elfsborg in the UEFA Europa League, Soccernet.ng reports.

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk made his side more dangerous in their Europa League campaign by pairing the two talented forwards in his attacking line.

Following this, the Red and Yellows increased their points tally to 7, and Osimhen believes that his partnership with Mauro Icardi will be unstoppable moving forward.

Reflecting on the intense encounter, Osimhen praised his team’s resilience while acknowledging the challenges they faced against the Swedish side.

“We knew it would be difficult. The opponent was good in defense. We are happy that we won, though we had some scary moments towards the end. I couldn’t score, but what matters is that the team got the win. I also want to congratulate the opponent—they fought well,” he said, as Fanatik reported.

Osimhen, however, was most excited about his partnership with Argentine forward, and suggested that the duo would become a nightmare for opposition defenses.

“When we play together, no one can stand against us. It’s exciting to play with Icardi. He almost gave me an assist, and he’s a great player. Playing with him is extraordinary, and I think no defense will be able to stop us when we’re on the pitch together.”

Osimhen’s confidence in his pairing with Icardi will certainly have rivals on high alert as Galatasaray look to push forward in their Europa League campaign.
