Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika has become a prime target for Galatasaray, with head coach Okan Buruk determined to secure his services during the upcoming January transfer window, Soccernet.ng reports.
According to a report from A Spor, the Turkish champions are eager to bolster their squad further, and Onyedika is at the top of their wishlist.
Galatasaray, who recently wrapped up a busy summer transfer window in their quest to defend the Super Lig title they won last season, are still keen on adding more quality to their squad.
Onyedika, a 23-year-old defensive midfielder currently playing for Belgian giants Club Brugge, has caught the eye of Buruk as a crucial piece to enhance the club’s midfield options.
Reports suggest that Onyedika has already agreed on personal terms with Galatasaray, but no official agreement has been reached between the two clubs.
The Super Eagles star moved to Club Brugge two years ago after an impressive spell with Danish side FC Midtjylland and has since become an integral part of the Belgian club’s setup.
Should the move materialise, Onyedika would reunite with fellow Nigerian and Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli.
However, Osimhen’s future remains uncertain, as he may be transferred to another club at the end of his loan spell.
