“Ogo agbaye” – Super Falcons star thrilled to link up with Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen in Turkey

Super Falcons star Oluwatosin Demehin has expressed her joy at linking up with Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray, Soccernet.ng reports.

Both players recently joined the Turkish football giants, with Osimhen arriving on loan from Napoli and Demehin making a free transfer move from Stade de Reims.

Demehin took to social media to share a heartfelt message, posting photos of her and Osimhen in Galatasaray training kits, captioned “Ogo Agbaye” (meaning “global glory”).

The two Nigerian internationals are set to make an impact in their respective teams, with Demehin fortifying the defence for Galatasaray Women’s FC and Osimhen spearheading the attack for the men’s team.

Osimhen’s transfer to Galatasaray followed a summer filled with speculation linking him to clubs like Chelsea and Al-Ahli.

However, he ultimately signed a one-year loan deal with the Turkish side, where he has already contributed with two goals and three assists.

Unfortunately, Osimhen picked up an injury recently and will miss Nigeria’s upcoming AFCON qualifiers against Libya.

Meanwhile, Demehin has already made her mark for Galatasaray, helping the Turkish champions qualify for the group stage of the UEFA Women’s Champions League for the first time in history.

Demehin will look to bolster Galatasaray’s defensive setup as they seek to impress on the continent and retain their women’s league title.
