“We are prepared”- Rwanda coach boasts ahead of AFCON 2025 clash with Nigeria

Rwanda coach Torsten Spittler has warned that his teams is well prepared to take on the Super Eagles in their crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers on Tuesday, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Super Eagles will be looking to grab their second win of the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers when they lock horns with Rwanda at Stade Amahoro in Kigali.

In the first game of the series, Nigeria won their first game against Benin in convincing fashion, while Rwanda played out a 1-1 draw against Lybia.

Ahead of the fixture, the Super Eagles are massive favourites to win due to the quality inherent in the team, with stars like Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, and the only African on the Ballon d’Or nominations Ademola Lookman.

Nonetheless, Rwanda boss Spittler is confident in his side’s chances when both teams clash on Tuesday.

“We are in a good process and what we have done so far is promising,” the German tactician said in the pre-match conference.

“We know Nigeria is a big team with big names but I want to assure you that we are prepared and we are ready to show good football tomorrow.”

A win for Rwanda could take them to the summit of group D. But a win for Nigeria could mean that they could wrap up the qualification process as early as October.
