“One day at a time” – Olisah Ndah highlights plans with Nigerian National team

Super Eagles and Orlando Pirates defender, Olisah Ndah, has revealed he plans to make the best of his stay in the Super Eagles team, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 26-year-old was called back into the Super Eagles squad for their AFCON 2025 Qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda, marking his return to the team for the first time in two years.

He also came on in the 63rd minute at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo as Nigeria cruised to a 3-0 win over Gernot Rohr’s side.

Speaking after the game, the former Rivers United defender revealed he wasn’t expecting the call up at all, but he’d do his best to stamp his presence in the team.

“I think it’s an opportunity, I’m really excited for it but I wasn’t expecting it at all. It’s just an opportunity given to me by the club, which I appreciate. Getting into the finals of the MTN8 again [is massive] and I think we’re going to have a great season and I’m excited. I think nothing has changed, with the selection that has been coming out they have been good. You can’t make everyone happy, you can’t invite everyone. I think there is a limited number you can invite.

The selections have been wonderful, I’m just happy to be here. I take it one day at a time and I’m always excited to be called up, whether it’s a friendly game or whatever, I’m always excited to be here,” Ndah said in quotes revealed by Goal.

The two time MTN 8 Cup winner will be hoping to start for Augustine Eguavoen’s side when they face Rwanda tomorrow .
