Former Nigerian senator Dino Melaye has shared a social media post, warning Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali that his position is under threat, Soccernet.ng reports.
Nwabali rose to international recognition after his exploits with Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations that was held in January this year.
With the Super Eagles struggling in the goalkeeping department in recent years, the Chippa United shot-stopper got his chance and cemented his place in the team after a series of impressive performances in goal.
Meanwhile, in a recent development, former Nigerian senator Dino Melaye has jokingly warned Nwabali that his position may be under threat.
Senator Melaye shared pictures of himself recently involved in a football match, where he was the goalkeeper. He even shared a video of himself attempting to save a penalty kick.
After the game, Senator Melaye then posted a picture of himself in a number 1 jersey, with the caption, “Nwabali’s position under threat.”
Senator Dino Melaye was a member of the 8th Nigerian National Assembly, representing Kogi West Senatorial District. He left his position in 2019 after four years in office.
As a senator he sponsored about 20 bills, but Senator Melaye’s time in office was marred with many controversies and allegations of corruption.

It was a surprise to receive this message from a former MP. It shows that connections and relationships in politics are still important. Hopefully this message will bring positive things to Stanley Nwabali and the community!
