“One of those dramatic stories” – Super Eagles star tipped to be the biggest transfer on deadline day

As the transfer window approaches its final hours, one of the most captivating sagas still unresolved is the future of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Napoli forward, who was widely expected to leave the Serie A club this summer, remains at the center of intense speculation, with top European clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, and PSG vying for his signature.

A couple of Saudi Arabian clubs are also interested in Osimhen but the Super Eagles forward has shown little desire to move to the Middle East at the moment.

Speaking on the Sky Sports Back Pages Podcast, respected journalist David Ornstein highlighted that Osimhen could be involved in a dramatic transfer before the deadline.

“This is one we understand is going to go down to transfer deadline day, and it will be one of those dramatic stories about where Victor Osimhen ends up,” Ornstein remarked.

“Chelsea retain an interest in him, but it’s about what form the deal may take. Who else? Maybe PSG, they had a strong interest in Osimhen before, so that could be lively. He’s a box office name, a big-time striker.”

Osimhen’s potential move can be compared to other high-profile transfers that have defined previous deadline days, such as Gareth Bale to Real Madrid and Enzo Fernandez to Chelsea.

The Nigerian’s next destination remains uncertain, but with time ticking down, the situation is poised for last-minute twists.

Arsenal, who have long been linked with Osimhen, could emerge as serious contenders in the final hours of the window.

As the clock ticks towards Friday’s 11:00 PM deadline, all eyes will be on where this ‘box office’ striker will end up, in what could be the most significant transfer story of the summer.
