“It will kill his career” – Victor Osimhen warned against Chelsea move

Nigerian prophet Primate Elijah Ayodele has cautioned Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen against joining Chelsea, claiming that a move to the London club could be detrimental to the forward’s career, Soccernet.ng reports.

Ayodele, who is the founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, issued his warning in a 44-second social media video, urging Osimhen to avoid the Stamford Bridge outfit.

“I want to quickly advise as directly that Osimhen should not go to Chelsea because if he goes there, he will not shine and it will kill his career,” Ayodele said.

“NFF, if Osimhen should go to Chelsea, don’t call him again, and also calling him to the Super Eagles still needs to be previewed properly because we have what it takes to the World Cup and Nations Cup.”

Primate Ayodele’s remarks come amid ongoing speculation surrounding Osimhen’s future, with Chelsea reportedly among the clubs vying for the Nigerian international’s signature this summer.

Despite rumours that Osimhen already has an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea have reignited their interest in the Napoli star following a failed bid for Atletico Madrid’s Samuel Omorodion.

The Blues, in desperate need of a reliable striker to lead their attack in the 2024/25 season, view Osimhen as a prime target.

However, Ayodele’s stark warning could give the striker pause as he weighs his options.

Ayodele has previously spoken out about Chelsea, describing the club as cursed and in need of spiritual cleansing.

In 2023, he prophesied, “Chelsea are a finished club… there is a curse troubling Chelsea at the moment… otherwise, Chelsea can go to relegation.”

Osimhen, 25, is one of Europe’s most sought-after strikers, with links to top clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool.

However, his hefty €130 million price tag has proven a stumbling block for most suitors, leaving Chelsea as the primary contender.

With just weeks remaining in the transfer window, Napoli are eager to finalize the striker’s future, but Ayodele’s prophetic words may influence the final decision.
