Ademola Lookman: Atalanta set staggering ₦104 billion price tag on Nigeria star amidst Chelsea, Bayern Munich links

Ademola Lookman has become one of Atalanta’s most in-demand players with the club open to selling him if their transfer demands are met, Soccernet.ng reports.

Nigeria international Lookman joined Atalanta two years ago after a disappointing spell at RB Leipzig in Germany. Atalanta paid just over €9 million for him. In the Bundesliga, Lookman only managed five goals and four assists in 22 games.

However, Lookman found his form in Italy. He made an immediate impact, scoring on his Serie A debut against Sampdoria on August 13, 2022.

In his first season, he scored 13 league goals and provided six assists, earning the club’s Player of the Season award.

Lookman continued to shine in his second season, scoring 11 goals and adding seven assists. His performance helped Atalanta qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

In the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen, Lookman scored a stunning hat-trick, leading Atalanta to a 3-0 victory. This made him the first African to score a hat-trick in a European final and gave Atalanta their first continental trophy.

Due to his impressive performances, Lookman’s value has skyrocketed.

According to Ilposticipo, Atalanta are asking for €60 million (₦104.78 billion) for their star player.

Chelsea, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich are among the clubs interested in the Super Eagles striker.

Lookman, though, would be happy to return to England, where he has previously played for Charlton, Fulham, Everton, and Leicester City.

Atalanta are willing to negotiate with any club that meets their asking price for Lookman.
