Photos: Super Eagles prepare for South Africa clash in new training gear, set to debut official Nike kit in Uyo

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will host Bafana Bafana of South Africa in their 2026 World Cup qualifying clash in Uyo..

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been seen in fresh training kits, a noticeable change from what they wore during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament, Soccernet.ng reports.

During the 34th edition of the continental tournament in Cote d’Ivoire, the Super Eagles sported navy blue shorts and green sleeveless tops.

However, as they prepare to face the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Uyo on Friday, the team has been spotted in entirely new kits that have captured social media attention.

How Does the New Super Eagles Training Gear Look?

The new training gear differs significantly from what the Super Eagles wore throughout their 2023 campaign.

The shorts now feature a bright, ash colour, moving away from the previous navy blue. They also include a green stripe along the sides, similar to the old design.

The top remains sleeveless and features a round neck, but is now predominantly green with a ash stripe on the shoulder that matches the new shorts.

When Will the Super Eagles Don the New Kit?

Nike recently unveiled the new Super Eagles kit following the conclusion of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, eliciting mixed reactions from Nigerian football fans.

While there has been no official announcement from the Nigerian team, it is anticipated that they will debut both the new kit and a new national anthem when they play against Hugo Broos’ South Africa on Friday.
