“He would cost at least €100 million”- Arsenal TV’s Robby Lyle reveals admiration for Super Eagles striker

Arsenal TV founder Robbie Lyle has stated that he would love Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen to join the club, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen has been brilliant for Napoli for the last two years. Two seasons ago, he helped the Partenopeans secure the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years. He also won the Capocannoniere after finding the net 26 times that season.

Following his brilliant performances, Osimhen’s stock has risen significantly, and he has become one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe. Despite his struggles last season, when he produced 15 goals in 25 Serie A games, Arsenal, Chelsea, and PSG have been linked with his signature

Amid the talks about Osimhen’s potential move to the Gunners, Arsenal TV boss Lyle, has revealed that he would love Osimhen to join the North Londoners. However, he believes the 25-year-old’s price could be a drawback.

“That (Osimhen joining Arsenal) would be good because I think we do need a striker. He would be very very expensive, but I don’t know what the fee would be for him,” Lyle told Soccernet.ng exclusively.

“I think it’s going to be at least a 100 million to get Victor Osimhen away from Napoli. It’s whether Arsenal are willing to splash out that amount of money.

“I’d love to see him at Arsenal, I think he’s a great player. Maybe he had a bit of an indifferent season this year, but we’ve got to remember the season before.

“He was instrumental in Napoli winning the league for the first time in decades. So hes a very good player, and a player that I wouldn’t mind to see at Arsenal.”

Osimhen is expected to cost up to €120 million by Napoli’s valuation, and it will be tough to get them reduce the fee. Arsenal already spent more that €100 million on Declan Rice last season. Releasing that kind of money for a second consecutive season will be tough.
