William Troost Ekong has expressed his admiration for Super Eagles coach George Finidi

PAOK FC star William Troost Ekong has recently shared video showcasing snippets of his everyday life as a professional footballer, Soccernet.ng reports.

The football star has now resumed full training with his team, after being sidelined since February due to an injury he suffered at the AFCON tournament.

In the newly released Youtube footage, Ekong gives fans an insight into his routine since regaining full fitness.

Ekong’s day starts with a quick stop at a supermarket on his way to training, where he interacts with fans, including some children. He purchases fans for the kids and engages in friendly banter. When asked to choose between football icons Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, he gives a nod at Messi.

The Super Eagles captain is then captured arriving at the PAOK FC training center for a one-on-one workout session followed by a rigorous training session on the pitch. He also undergoes some therapeutic massages and treatment for his leg.

“I’m feeling really good; this is one of my last sessions. I’m doing individual to clear me for team training. I’ve done some team bits already, but to be fully back, hopefully the last three games of the season, that’s my target now”, the Nigerian defender says after training, revealing his eagerness to give Paok FC a boost in the Super League.

The video also provides a rare glimpse into Ekong’s family life, featuring his wife Molly and their three children at their beautiful home. Despite keeping his family out of the spotlight, Ekong offers fans a brief glimpse into his life off the pitch

Ekong’s tenacity and drive for excellence is revealed in this video, as he continues his training sessions at home with his personal trainer and long-time friend Lucas. The duo reflects on their friendship and Ekong’s journey over the years.

The insightful video concludes with Ekong attending PAOK FC’s match against AEK Athens alongside his son Oscar, where he mingles with fans and poses for pictures following their victory.

The captivating footage not only highlights Ekong’s determination and dedication to his craft but also reveals his down-to-earth personality and his loving family life.
