Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor James Osimhen, could receive up to 187 million naira in his club’s clash against Udinese tonight, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 25-year-old striker has made just 20 league starts for last season’s Serie A Champions, largely due to his season getting disrupted by injuries.
In 20 starts, Osimhen has scored 14 goals and provided two assists for his teammates, averaging a goal contribution every two hours of football.
After scoring from the penalty spot in last weekend’s 2-2 against Roma, Osimhen has set sights on scoring his 15th goal of the season against Udinese tonight.
Both teams are desperate for a win at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine, as the home side are desperate to escape the relegation positions, while Napoli are desperate to secure a place in one of the spots for next season’s European competitions.
As per Il Napoli, the former LOSC Lille man has a clause in his contract that will see him receive 125 thousand euros if he scores 15 league goals this season, and with a prime fixture on the horizon, Osimhen has the big stage to claim his prize.
The report also revealed that the Nigerian striker is above all keen to end his time in Italy on a high note having been linked with a move to Chelsea and Paris in recent weeks. He is determined to claim a place in Europe for Napoli.
Napoli are currently 9th on the Serie A table with 50 points from 34 games and have just one win from their last five games while Udinese are 18th with 29 points. Both teams meet tonight by 7:45 pm.
