Alex Iwobi holds the record for the most minutes played by a Nigerian in the English Premier League

Fulham FC star Alex Iwobi marks a milestone today as he celebrates his birthday, Soccernet.ng reports.

Born on May 3, 1996, Iwobi has carved a successful path in the Premier League. His football journey began in 2004, nurturing his talent in Arsenal’s youth team. After moving to the senior team, he went on to showcase his skills at Everton and now continues his impressive journey at Fulham FC.

In celebration of the football star’s birthday, his beautiful sister Marie has shared a lovely throwback photo on social media. Marie Iwobi posted a heartwarming photo of herself and her brother from their childhood, wishing him a happy birthday.

Iwobi and his sister are the only children of their parents, and appear to have a close knit relationship. Marie is a writer and editor also based in the United Kingdom.

The 28-year-old has also received heartfelt wishes and birthday shout outs from several football stars, including Super Eagles teammates William Troost Ekong and Benjamin Tanimu.

His former club Arsenal, and current team Fulham FC have put out Instagram posts celebrating the talented midfielder.

Over the years, Iwobi has displayed skill, grit and excellence in his football career, making himself a force to be reckoned with in the English Premier League.
