Napoli considering move for another Super Eagles as Victor Osimhen’s replacement

Napoli could lose Osimhen in the summer, but they could sign another Super Eagles star

Former Serie A champions Napoli could attempt to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface if Victor Osimhen leaves in the summer, Soccernet.ng reports.

Napoli risk losing Osimhen this summer because of the top European clubs he has attracted with his brilliant performances in the last three seasons.

Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain are rumored to be keeping tabs on Osimhen with the hope of signing him in the summer, and it seems likely that he will leave.

However, if Osimhen Napoli, the club will receive a massive paycheck, as the 25-year-old is valued at around €120 million. They would have to re-invest in a new striker to fill the massive void left by Osimhen.

A few names have been mentioned like Joshua Zirkzee, Jonathan David, and Viktor Gyokeres, but nothing concrete has happened yet.

In a new development per Napoli Magazine,  Napoli are keeping tabs on Boniface, who has had an amazing debut season at Bayer Leverkusen. The 23-year-old has registered 19 goals and ten assists for Die Werkself this season and has been an important part of their success.

Boniface would cost Napoli around €50 million, but it is unlikely that Bayer Leverkusen will sell at that price, as they are looking to retain most of their title-winning squad.

But if Napoli present an audacious bid, Die Werkself would be tempted to let him leave.
