“I love Arsenal”- Veteran Nollywood actor tips Gunners to usurp Manchester City as Premier League kings

With two games left, the Premier League title can still go either way

Veteran Nollywood actor Ejike Asiegbu has revealed his affinity for Arsenal, tipping the North Londoners to beat Manchester City to the English Premier League title, Soccernet.ng reports.

With Mikel Arteta as coach, Arsenal have been pushing for the Premier League title for the last two seasons. Last season, the Gunners’ poor run at the end of the campaign ensured that the Cityzen emerged as champions.

This season however, Arsenal have presented a better fight, pushing for the title with two games left. They currently sit at the summit of the league, one point above Manchester City. Nonetheless, the Cityzens have the advantage because they have an extra game, and if they win everything, they will end up with more points than Arsenal.

Veteran Nollywood star Ejike, who has been in the movie industry since the 90s has shared his love for football. In a recent interview, he revealed that he has a soft spot for Arsenal.

“In the Premier League, I love Arsenal. And I hope they eventually win the title this season,” Ejike told Punch.

“They have been very impressive and I hope they beat Manchester City to the title because it’s 20 years since we last won the league.

“They are the best team in England considering how they have played this season. They are the best attacking side and also in terms of defending they hold sway. Didn’t you see how they thrashed Chelsea?”

In the final two games of the season, Manchester City have two tough games against Tottenham and West Ham, while Arsenal play Manchester United and Everton.
