“9ja no dey carry last” – Victor Boniface celebrates Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga triumph

Victor Boniface scored 14 goals in the 2023/24 Bundesliga season

Bayer Leverkusen sensation Victor Boniface has proudly celebrated his Nigerian heritage following Leverkusen’s final game in the 2023/24 Bundesliga season, Soccernet.ng reports.

Leverkusen secured a win in their match against Augsburg today, completing an unbeaten streak. Bayer Leverkusen has not only clinched their first-ever Bundesliga title but also made history as the first team to go an entire Bundesliga season without losing a game.

In line with today’s victory and Leverkusen’s celebration, Boniface took to social media to celebrate his Nigerian heritage. In his latest Instagram post, the talented striker is captured with the Bundesliga trophy and the Nigerian flag draped around his neck.

In his caption, Boniface wrote, “9ja no dey carry last,” highlighting the excellence and resilience that many Nigerians possess.

Apart from being a Bundesliga champion, Boniface was also recently named the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season, defeating Xavi Simons of RB Leipzig, Ian Maatsen of Borussia Dortmund, and Maximilian Beier of TSG Hoffenheim.

The Nigerian football star had an outstanding performance this season, significantly contributing to Bayer Leverkusen’s victory.

Despite being sidelined for a while due to an injury, the 23-year-old athlete made an impressive comeback, providing Bayer Leverkusen with a massive boost in securing the Bundesliga title.
