Popular Nigerian social media influencers, have sided with Real Madrid ahead of their El Clasico clash against Barcelona, Soccernet.ng reports.

Led by the famous skit maker and social media personality, Shank Comics, the influencers met at a fundraising football event organized by Michael Oyiga to provide school materials for children in the impoverished Makoko area of Lagos State, Nigeria.

The game featured two teams, the Instagram celebrities and the X influencers football team. The influencers team emerged victorious, sealing a 5-4 victory over their opponents. Iamdikeh, Brainjotter, Hauwah, Lawrenz and Motara were all in attendance.

After the game, several of the players were quizzed on the team they expect to emerge victorious when Real Madrid take on Barcelona tonight, they all sided with the 14-time UEFA Champions League winners. You can watch the video here.

The 35-time La Liga Champions are currently eight points clear on the La Liga table going into tonight’s game. The tie could turn out to be a pivotal one as there are only eight games left before the season runs out.

Real Madrid will face Bayern Munich in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League while Barcelona were knocked out in Spain by Kylian Mbappe’s Paris Saint-Germain.

Los Blancos defeated Barcelona when both sides met earlier in the season. A Jude Bellingham brace cancelled İlkay Gündoğan’s opener at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys in Barcelona.
