Premier League legend Dwight Yorke is urging Manchester United to make a move for Crystal Palace’s exciting attackers Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise, Soccernet.ng reports.
Yorke believes Man Utd should splash the cash on Olise and Eze, who have been making waves in the Premier League with their performances for Crystal Palace.
With Manchester United struggling to find the back of the net this season, Yorke sees Olise and Eze as potential solutions to bolster the team’s attacking prowess.
Olise has caught the eye despite limited appearances due to injuries, while Eze has been consistent in his contributions, with eight goals and five assists this season.
Yorke is convinced that these two young talents possess the potential to make a significant impact at Manchester United and would be valuable additions to the squad.
He emphasized the importance of securing their signatures, stating that they could be integral parts of the team for years to come and would undoubtedly enhance United’s attacking options.
“Man United should go buy two Crystal Palace players right now, Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise, without a doubt,” Yorke told TVSportGuide.
“Those two young boys are the players Man United need at the club right now. They’re young, have great talents, and would improve the club.
“In two or three years time, they would be coming into the best part of their careers, and they’d be integrated into the Man United side by then.
“Olise and Eze are proper players. They have some of the best potential I’ve ever seen. These two kids improve Man United’s attack, without a shadow of a doubt.”
Both Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise are players of Nigerian descent.
Born in Greenwich, London, Eze represented England at youth level.
Still, there was a time when Eze was reportedly interested in playing for the Super Eagles. The youngster even trained with the former African champions during a camping period in England.
However, Eze became a hit at Queens Park Rangers, and despite several meetings with former NFF president Amaju Pinnick, he decided to play for England ahead of Nigeria.
Eze has featured in two friendly games for the England national team and hopes to play at this year’s European Championships.
Olise was born in England to a Nigerian father and a French-Algerian mother and is eligible to represent France, Algeria, England, or Nigeria internationally.
The former Reading star has been tipped to play for the Super Eagles and was invited to the national team fold by former head coach Gernot Rohr.
However, the 22-year-old right-winger has already played for France at youth level and appears more inclined to play for the former world champions.
Should Olise decide to play for Nigeria, he will present stiff competition for Samuel Chukwueze and Nathan Tella on the Super Eagles’ right flank.
The attacker is, however, versatile and can play as a number 10 or as a left-sided attacking midfielder.
