Super Eagles star Sadiq Umar enjoyed some quality time with his family as they embarked on the annual Muslim pilgrimage, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Real Sociedad forward faced a little backlash from fans after the Super Eagles international friendlies against Ghana and Mali, for allegedly refusing to shake interim coach George Finidi because he didn’t get to play in any of the matches.
Umar recently took to social media to share moments captured with his family at the just concluded Hajj in Mecca.
He shared these pictures on Instagram with a caption which reads, “Special place 🕋 Special moment 🤩 Special FAMILY time!🤍…Oh god what more can I ask for 🙏🏾…Lord, give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire 🤲🏾”
The Instagram post revealed a relaxed and playful side of Umar as he enjoyed the company of his loved ones in the holy city.
Another cute little girl was also captured in the family moments, although her relationship with the footballer is not clearly known.
The little girl, however, shares a tight bond with Sadiq’s daughter Aisha, as she has been spotted multiple times in videos shared on Instagram by Sadiq’s partner, Judy Memini.
Umar is expected to play alongside the Super Eagles in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against South Africa, scheduled to take place in June.
