Tony Bellew won 30 of his 34 fights during his active years, but Iheanacho is not scared at the prospect of facing him
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has shared a video of his Leicester City teammate Kelechi Iheanacho jokingly stating his intention to fight against retired boxer Tony Bellew, Soccernet.ng reports.
Iheanacho joined Leicester City in 2017 from Manchester City, and he has been one of the important players at the club since then. He has played 228 games for the Foxes and has 61 goals and 36 assists to his name.
While at the club, Iheanacho has formed a strong bond with teammate Ndidi. The duo have often shared many pictures of themselves together, and the latest is a video of them at a restaurant.
Iheanacho shook hands with Tony Bellew, who walked past him, then the Nigerian attacker told Ndidi on camera that he would seal a fight with Bellew soon. He said he did not mind that he would be knocked out, he just wanted to get the money.
This season, Iheanacho has scored five goals to help Leicester City to the summit of the English Championship. The Foxes look set for Premier League promotion as it stands, as they sit three points clear of second-place Ipswich with eleven games left.
