Photos: Fulham star Alex Iwobi shares adorable family picture from childhood

Alex Iwobi has remained unfazed by the harsh criticism he faced during the AFCON 2023 tournament

Fulham F.C. star, Alex Iwobi, recently shared heart-warming throwback pictures with his family on social media, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Nigerian forward has had an impressive run so far in the ongoing English Premier League season, scoring five goals and providing an assist in twenty-one matches.

The football star has melted the hearts of his fans and followers with his recent social media post. Iwobi shared a beautiful picture from his childhood on his Instagram stories. In the adorable photo, Iwobi is captured alongside his parents and sister.

Interestingly, his father, Chuka Iwobi is said to have had a promising but low paying football career, which he eventually had to give up for studying law, in order to provide for his family and secure their future.

The 27-year-old player’s mother is the cousin of Nigerian football legend Jay Jay Okocha, adding to his football heritage. His sister, Marie Iwobi is a writer.

On the international front, Iwobi was part of the Super Eagles squad that competed in the international friendlies against Ghana and Mali in Marrakech, Morocco.

Despite a victorious win over the Black Stars last week, the Super Eagles faced a setback against Mali, conceding two goals in the second round of the “jollof derby”.
