Nike unveils Super Eagles’ new 2024 Home and Away kits

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be donning white jersey as their home kit for the first time in three years

American athletic footwear and apparel company Nike has officially unveiled the 2024 home and away kits of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Soccernet.ng reports.

In a video shared on Nike’s social media page, the Super Eagles’ jerseys were revealed, ending much anticipation and speculation following leaked viral designs.

For the first time in three years, the Super Eagles will wear white as their home kit, with the green jersey, traditionally Nigeria’s home kit, serving as the away kit.

Initial excitement among Nigerian football fans for a new jersey before the Africa Cup of Nations tournament was dashed when the NFF released a statement debunking rumors of a new kit.

The new home jersey features green-white-green tape on the sleeves and shorts, with a faded eagle design on the front.

Notably, the Super Eagles logo is absent from the jersey but appears on the shorts, while Nike’s logo is in red, deviating from the usual Super Eagles color scheme.

The cost of the jersey, made with “Dri-Fit Adv,” is £124.99 at the Nike online store which is circa 250,000 Nigerian Naira.

With the Super Eagles set to face Ghana and Mali in less than four days, fans hope to see the team donning the new jersey in Marrakech, Morocco.
