Live commentary: Mali vs Nigeria – International friendly

As the battle of the Eagles unfolds at the Grande Stade de Marrakech in Morocco, both Nigeria and Mali are gearing up for a fierce encounter.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles come into the match after a thrilling 2-1 victory against Ghana’s Black Stars, showcasing their resilience despite being a man down in the second half.

Goals from Cyriel Dessers and Ademola Lookman highlighted their dominance in the first half. Meanwhile, Mali’s Eagles secured a straightforward 2-0 win over Mauritania, with Modibo Sagnan and El Bilal Toure finding the net early on.

Mali’s impressive form, with a 12-game unbeaten streak, poses a challenge for the Super Eagles, who are determined to continue their winning momentum after their runner-up finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

With Nigeria boasting a strong squad despite missing key players, the stage is set for an electrifying showdown between these two African powerhouses.

eagles not serious in first half .
the. Malians make sure they held them hostage with counter
hence they thought dey can use back pass to hold the game but it bumaroan . even in the second have wen dey think they can try to outplay the Malians. dey stil had to concede . any way this is an eye opener for the coach . any player that wil always pass the ball to an opponent two or three times in a game shud not be in the national team .
and any coach that allows his players to reduce the defence to zero it not good for the national team. .. ie if a player can decide to solely take the back upward and give it to opponent altermatecally created a loop hole at the back .
virtually the is wat most of eagle guys did with the Malians . while the Malians had a tight defense and use a one two pass to reduce the eagles middle. to enter into their box 18 .
thank God is was only two ..
lastly, some guys that played today shud wave bye to national team . even super falcon wil play better than this .
