Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has shown appreciation to a Nigerian fan on X after he cycled from Benue State to meet him in Kano State, Soccernet.ng reports.
Musa is the longest-serving Nigerian player, as he has been part of the Suoer Eagles fold since 2010. The 31-year-old attacker has registered over 100 appearances for the Super Eagles and has played in many European clubs.
Musa has played for top clubs Leicester City and CSKA Moscow. He has also had stints at Al Nassr and Fatih Karagumruk before moving to Sivasspor.
Musa was part of Nigeria’s squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, albeit he did not play in the competition. He has returned to his base in Kano following the conclusion of the AFCON.
In a new development, the former Leicester City star shared pictures of himself with a fan. He shared an appreciation message for the fan who travelled from Benue State to meet him.
The distance between both states is over 670km, and the fan transported himself with his bicycle.
“Huge shoutout to this incredible fan who cycled all the way from Benue State just to visit me, Musa wrote.
“Your dedication and support means the world to me. Thank you for your unwavering love.”
Musa is currently out of action because of an injury, but he should be back in a few weeks.
