Esther Onyenezide and Opeyemi Ajakaye both played crucial roles for the Nigeria U20 women’s team at the 2022 U-20 Women’s World Cup
Super Falconets duo, Esther Onyenezide and Opeyemi Ajakaye, former players of Robo Queens FC in Lagos, have reportedly made a significant move to join Madrid CFF in Spain, Soccernet.ng reports.
The talented duo, who recently transferred to Madrid CFF, have been key players for Robo Queens FC prior to their latest move.
Notably, Ajakaye showcased her scoring prowess last month by netting a goal in the reverse fixture of the U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers against Burundi.
While Esther, who recently gained a call up to the Nigerian women’s senior national team, showed her skills in Nigeria’s home clash against Cape Verde at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
Their impressive performances have caught the attention of the national team coach, as both players are expected to be included in the Super Falconets squad for the upcoming U-20 World Cup in Colombia later this year.
Madrid CFF, currently holding the fourth position in the Spanish Primera División Femenina, will benefit from the addition of Onyenezide and Ajakaye to their roster as they aim for continued success in the league.
