Armenia

Taiwo Awoniyi assisted one of Nottingham Forest’s goals in the Reds’ thrilling 4-2 defeat against Aston Villa.

In the Championship, Emmanuel Dennis kept up his scoring form by grabbing the consolation goal for Watford in their 2-1 home loss to Huddersfield.

Joe Aribo was on duty for Southampton as they fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Millwall.

Semi Ajayi was a second-half substitute as West Bromwich Albion battled to a 1-1 draw at Hull City.

Italy

Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi and Simy Nwankwo could do nothing to help Salernitana avoid stumbling to a 0-2 loss at home to Monza in their Serie A clash.

Maduka Okoye was in goal for Udinese as Genoa squeezed out a 2-0 victory inside the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris in Genova as Isaac Success watched on from the bench.

France

Moses Simon confirmed why Frenchmen call him the assist-king as he laid on the winning goal for Jean-Charles Castelletto in Nantes’ 1-0 triumph at Lorient.

India

In the I-League, Ugochukwu Louis Ogana halved the deficit for Churchill Brothers in their 1-2 defeat at the hands of Gokulam Kerala.

Iraq

The Iraqi League clash between Naft and Al Minaa Basra at the Al Saher Ahmed Radhi Stadium in Bagdad ended in a 1-1 draw, with Ibadan-born Okiki Afolabi opening the scoring for the home side before Sajjad Alaa equalised for the visitors.

Japan

In the J3 League, Oriola Sunday’s 63rd-minute strike was the only bright spot for Vanraure Hachinohe in their 4-1 defeat against Omiya Ardija

Scotland

Rangers provincially went five points clear at the top of the Premiership table after hammering a 5 – 0 defeat down the throat of Hearts.

Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers scored two of the goals to bring his league tally to 12 goals in 24 games.

South Africa

Moroka Swallows are through to the next round of the Cup after beating Platinum City Rovers on penalties.

Goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi was the hero as he stopped three penalties to lift his side to a 3-1 shootout win.

There were no penalty worries for Olisa Ndah and Orlando Pirates as they made light work of Crystal Lake to record a 6-0 Cup win.

Turkey

2013 AFCON winner Kenneth Omeruo was solid for Kasımpaşa as only a controversial penalty call helped Fenerbahce carve out a 2-1 Super Lig win.

In the 1 Lig, Anthony Dennis opened the floodgates for Göztepe as they strolled to a 3-0 victory against Adanaspor.

Wales

Jamilu Collins was a second-half substitute as Cardiff City fought out a thrilling 2-1 victory against Stoke City in their Championship faceoff at the Cardiff City Stadium.

In the Premier League, Osebi Abadaki scored the first and last goal for Bala Town in their 5-1 win over Newtown.
