The Tinubu-led government gifts each player a land and an apartment in Abuja, and they all got bestowed the Member of the Order of the Niger title.
However, the Super Eagles are not the only ones who have gotten such rewards for their performance in Coted’Ivoire. According to the BBC, the South African and Ivorian government have gifted their players cash gifts.
South Africa, who finished third are set to receive $52,000 per player. Also, every player in Ivory Coast’s AFCON winning squad will get $82,000 and get a villa worth the same amount.
