The Super Falcons of Nigeria are slated to tackle The South African women’s team in April for the final round of the Olympic qualification tie

Coach of South Africa’s women’s national football team, Desire Ellis, has issued a stern warning ahead of their upcoming final playoff against the Super Falcons of Nigeria, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria secured a spot in the next round of the Olympic qualifiers with South Africa after a 1-0 aggregate win over Cameroon in the third round of the playoff at MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

With a spot in the 2024 Olympics in Paris at stake, Ellis, whose troops secured a 4-nil aggregate victory over Tanzania to secure a spot with Nigeria, emphasised the high stakes of the encounter.

Ellis, named CAF Coach of the Year, expressed her team’s determination to prepare rigorously for the showdown against the nine-time African champions.

She emphasised the importance of early and thorough preparation, hinting at plans for an early training camp to enhance their chances of success.

“It will be do or die [against Nigeria], We want to have an early camp, we will improve our chances when we prepare early and very well” she said.
