Watch: Chiamaka Nnadozie’s magical penalty saves propel Paris FC’s UWCL qualification aspirations

With Chaiamaka Nnadozie at the back, the Super Falcons kept three clean sheets at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Super Falcons and Paris F.C. goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie came up trumps again to rescue the French club in their UEFA Women’s Champions League clash against BK Häcken, Soccernet.ng reports.

Nnadozie, 23, was the recipient of the CAF Goalkeeper of the Year award for the female category after a stellar season in France and with the Nigerian Super Falcons at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Paris F.C. travelled to Sweden with three points as their primary goal in order to gain ground on qualification, as there was only one slot left after Chelsea F.C. women secured qualification by beating Real Madrid Femenino earlier.

The game swung by quickly at the Bravida Arena in Göteborg and on the 20th minute mark, Häcken got a penalty after Teninsoun Sissoko handled the ball in the penalty area.

Rosa Kafaji stepped up to take the spot kick for the hosts, but the attacking midfielder was denied by Nnadozie who was equal to the task.

A well placed penalty into the bottom left corner was parried by the Nigerian goalkeeper for a corner kick. Her fifth penalty save this season.

Nnadozie went on to make five more saves as the game ended in a goalless draw, leaving the hopes of qualification for both sides in their final group game.

Paris F.C. will take on Real Madrid Femenino in their final group game while BK Häcken will face Chelsea. Madrid have not won a game in the Champions League this season.
