The Super Eagles will be looking to make a mark in Ivory Coast, and they have lined up a preparatory fixture ahead of the tournament
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play Guinea on January 8 in preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, Soccernet.ng reports.
Nigeria will be looking to claim a fourth African crown in Ivory Coast later this month. It will be Jose Peseiro’s first AFCON experience, and he would looking to make a mark in the competition.
The Super Eagles are currently camped in Dubai before travelling to Ivory Coast next week. And ahead of the competition, the team has secured a friendly game.
Nigeria will play against Guinea in a friendly in Abu Dhabi on January 8. The game will be the Super Eagles’ solitary fixture before the Africa Cup of Nations.
Guinea boasts of players like former Liverpool star Naby Keita, Leipzig midfielder Ilaix Moriba, Stuttgart hitman Serhou Guirassy, and Le Havre forward Mohamed Bayo.
Nigeria have enough quality, though, as Jose Peseiro’s 25-man squad has stars like Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, and a host of other talents.
The Super Eagles begin their AFCON journey on January 14 with a fixture against Equatorial Guinea; then their second game is against hosts against Ivory Coast before concluding the group stage against Guinea-Bissau.

The game against the sylli national of guinea,.would just help to check a few errors in the team and tighten up before the competition. I wish the super Eagles the very best
