AFCON 2023: Confirmed Nigeria XI vs Guinea-Bissau— Kenneth Omeruo, Victor Osimhen, Joe Aribo start for Super Eagles

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are looking to secure all three points after an impressive performance against the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations host, Ivory Coast, Soccernet.ng reports.

Jose Peseiro’s troops are set to take on Guinea-Bissau in their final group-stage clash of the 2023 AFCON at the Félix-Houphouët-Boigny Stadium.

In anticipation of the clash, head coach Jose Peseiro has unveiled the official squad list. As expected, Napoli forward Victor Osimhen leads the frontline, with Kelvin Omeruo making his first appearance of the 34th edition of the AFCON tournament.

Just like they did against Côte d’Ivoire, Frank Onyeka sits—alongside Bright Osayi-Samuel—in the middle of the park, while Ola Aina, and Calvin Bassey play as fullbacks.

Nigeria seeks its second victory at the 2023 AFCON tournament, following a victory against the Ivory Coast. Meanwhile, the Super Eagles of Nigeria securing all points against Guinea-Bissau will ease their progress to the next round.

The Super Eagles, having experienced a disappointing draw in their first game, and a win against Cote d’Ivoire, has four points which placed them in the second place in the group.

Soccernet.ng highlights the tactical approach of head coach Jose Peseiro, setting up his team in a 4-3-3 formation:

23. Stanley Nwabali
22. Kenneth Omeruo (c)
6. Semi Ajayi
21. Calvin Bassey
12. Bright Osayi-Samuel

10. Joe Aribo

11. Samuel Chukwueze
