Watch: Victor Osimhen presents CAF POTY award at Napoli vs Cagliari match

Victor Osimhen was recently named with player of the year at the just-conluded Confederation of African Football award

Napoli’s Victor Osimhen proudly displayed his Confederation of African Football Player Of The Year award at the Diego Maradona Stadium, Soccernet.ng reports.

Before the Napoli vs Cagliari game, the Nigerian striker, accompanied by his family, including his wife and child, took a photo while presenting the prestigious CAF POTY award.

The Nigerian striker, among the top three nominees for the award alongside Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah and Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi, showcased his exceptional performance both for his club and country.

The remarkable year of the Napoli forward led to an eighth-place finish in the 2023 Ballon d’Or and clinching the 2023 African Best Player title.

Although initially unable to present the award during their match against Braga, Osimhen made sure to share the honour with fans during their recent domestic league clash.
