Watch: Cristiano Ronaldo spotted as Nigeria’s Joshua defeats Wallin in ‘Day of Reckoning’ battle

Anthony Joshua has been without a belt since losing to Oleksandr Usyk last October

Al Hilal forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, was spotted attending the ‘Day of Reckoning’ bout between British-Nigerian boxer, Anthony Joshua, and Otto Wallin in Saudi Arabia, Soccernet.ng reports.

This isn’t the first time the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has shown interest in boxing. He was previously seen at Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou’s fight, sparking curiosity about his fascination with the sport.

Upon his arrival at the arena, the former Real Madrid star was questioned about his fondness for boxing. Responding humorously, he clarified that boxing ranks as his third favourite sport.

During a brief interview, an official jokingly suggested, “Feels like boxing is your second favourite sport, Ronaldo?” To which the former Manchester United star quipped, “Third!”

With Ronaldo on the ringside, Joshua displayed a dominant performance in Saudi Arabia, controlling the fight against Wallin before the latter’s corner decided to withdraw him at the end of the fifth round.

Joshua, whose heritage connects him to Nigeria, has previously celebrated with a signature ‘Siuuu!’ celebration, reminiscent of Ronaldo’s style.

Although the exact relationship between the two remains unknown, Ronaldo’s presence at the bout indicated his interest in watching boxing, his third favourite sport.

Ronaldo has crossed paths with UFC legends such as Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Israel Adesanya, and former UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou.
