AFCON 2023: Equatorial Guinea names Alaves goalie, Monza star, and Sampdoria U-19 in 27-Man squad ahead of Super Eagles clash

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are seeded in the same group with Equatorial Guinea, Cote d’Ivoire, and Guinea-Bissau in the upcoming 2023 AFCON tournament 

The national coach of Equatorial Guinea’s men’s soccer team, Juan Michá Obiang, has unveiled the official squad of 27 players ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations 2024, Soccernet.ng reports.

With the prestigious football event on the African continent looming just weeks away, nations are steadily submitting their final lists.

However, the Nzalang’s coach presented the definitive squad set to compete in the upcoming Africa Cup in Ivory Coast 2024 which includes Alavez CF Goalkeeper, Jesus Owono,AC Monza midfielder, Jose Machin, and a host of others.

Equatorial Guinea will exchanged tackles with Nigeria in their first match, and Micha’s team looks ready for the challenge.

The Nzalang are slated to camp in Abu Dhabi ahead of the tournament and will march into the tournament days later with the selected talents, aiming to make a resounding impact.
