Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have set their sights on signing Viktoria Plzen striker Rafiu Durosinmi during the upcoming January transfer window, Soccernet.ng reports.

The former Boxtobox FC player has notably scored nine goals for Plzen in the current season, including an impressive six goals in nine league appearances.

Meanwhile, according to reports from Daily Mail, Wolves have been actively scouting the young striker and reportedly engaged in discussions with Plzen earlier this week regarding a potential transfer.

Further on the reports, the Czech side is purportedly demanding a fee of £10 million for Durosinmi, and negotiations regarding personal terms are reportedly ongoing.

Before making his move to Karviná, Durosinmi began his football journey in Nigeria, notably with boxtobox FC. His talent propelled him to the first team in 2022, where he made an impactful start, scoring three goals in his debut season, one of which came against Slavia Prague.

In January 2023, Durosinmi secured a loan deal with Viktoria Plzeň. Upon his arrival on loan, he swiftly integrated into the team, featuring in a friendly match for Viktoria Plzeň, and now a permanent player for the club.

His impressive performance for the Czech side has however piqued the interest of some top European clubs, with the Wanderers ready to lure him to the Molineux Stadium.

Previous reports indicated interest from Brighton in the Nigerian forward. Meanwhile, Bundesliga outfits Eintracht Frankfurt and Stuttgart have also been monitoring Durosinmi’s situation, with the player reportedly leaning towards a move to Frankfurt for potential career advancement.
