The Super Eagles of Nigeria are slated to tackle Lesotho and Zimbabwe on the 16th and 19th of November for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers
All called-up Super Eagles stars, with the exception of Maduka Okoye, are back in camp, gearing up for their 2026 FIFA World Cup clash against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, Soccernet.ng reports.
A lively atmosphere was captured in a video shared on the Super Eagles social media page, featuring new boy Nathan Tella, Victor Boniface, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Raphael Onyedika warmly welcoming each other.
In line with reports from Sportsbrief, players such as Moses Simon, Ademola Lookman, Ola Aina, Alex Iwobi, and others received a cordial welcome from the state’s Football Normalization Committee upon their arrival at the Victor Attah International Airport. The players then proceeded to the team’s camp at Four Points by Sheraton Ikot Ekpene.
Meanwhile, earlier arrivals, including Jamilu Collins, Kenneth Omeruo, and Umar Sadiq, have previously been spotted hitting the gym before the rest joined the camp.
Key players like Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze won’t be participating in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, creating an opportunity for others to step up.
The Super Eagles are set to face Lesotho on November 16th at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, aiming to rebound from the disappointment of missing the 2022 World Cup ticket.
