WATCH: Asisat Oshoala comes off the bench to score spectacular bicycle kick goal against Benfica

Asisat Oshoala scored and created another goal in the Super Falcon’s last game against Ethiopia in Abuja, to push the team closer to Olympic qualification.

Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala, came off the bench in Barca Femini’s 5-0 win over Benfica last night to score a spectacular bicycle kick goal, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 29-year-old scored a brace during the weekend in the LIGA F against Villareal and added to her season’s tally with another wonder goal last night.

Despite being in good form, the Super Falcons forward was kept on the bench by coach Jonatan Giraldez, who opted to play Alexia Putellas up-front for their Champions League Group A clash against Benfica.

Putellas bagged a brace in the first half and was replaced during half-time, with Patricia Guijarro coming on to replace her. Aitana Bonmati scored one in the first half and added a second goal seven minutes into the second half to put the Blaugranas 4-0 up.

On the hour mark, Asisat Oshoala was introduced as midfielder Mariona Caldentey made way for the Nigerian international.

Two minutes later, with what was seemingly her first touch of the ball, Asisat scored an acrobatic volley. A cross from Caroline Graham Hansen found Oshoala in the box, and with her back to goal, she showed acrobatic skills by putting the ball into the back of the net with a bicycle kick in an intense match that was shown on score808.

Elated with the goal she had just scored, the forward celebrated in grand style with her teammates.

With a scoreline of 5-0, Oshoala helped her team to a perfect start in the new Champions League season as they took all three points on the opening matchday. Asides Benfica, the remaining teams in the group are Eintracht Frankfurt and F.C. Rosengard.
