“Trust the process”- Akpom remains optimistic about Ajax’s resurgence

Ajax seems to be getting back to their previous form under Van’t Schip, and Akpom has appealed for calm

Nigeria attacker Chuba Akpom has appealed to Ajax fans to keep faith with the team despite their recent struggles, Soccernet reports.

Ajax performed way below their standards last season when they finished third in the Dutch Eredivisie last season.

However, this season, they have been abysmal- by their own standards. The club sit 12th on the Eredivisie table with 12 points after 11 games.

They just started to climb up two weeks ago after Van’t Schip took over because under Maurice Steijn, they won only one of their first eight Eredivisie games of the season.

However, Schip has helped the team two wins and one draw in his first four games. Akpom, who was a peripheral under Steijn has now become an important player for Schip, as he has scored four games in his last four games.

Despite their recent struggles, Akpom has appealed for fans to believe in the team.

“We have to trust the process. That’s all we can do,” Akpom said per Ajax Showtime.

“We have to keep training hard every day and working hard and then I’m sure everything will work out.”

Because ormSchip has the next two weeks to instill his ideology at Ajax. They would hope to get a good run of games and climb higher up game.

  • A thought-provoking debate could be considered worthy of a comment. It's possible that this isn't a taboo subject, but in general, there aren't enough people to have meaningful conversations about issues like this one. I think you should write about it. One more example. Cheers.
