“Osimhen is a complete attacker”- Ancelotti wary of Super Eagles star’s threat ahead of Real Madrid – Napoli clash

The Partenopeans have a Champions League date with Real Madrid on Wednesday, and Osimhen could be the game-changer

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he is aware of the threat that Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen poses. Still, they have plans to neutralise him, Soccernet.ng reports.

Napoli travel to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday to take on Real Madrid in their penultimate game of the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Real Madrid won the first leg in an interesting tie that ended 3-2. However, the Partenopeans would be looking to upset the Spanish giants this time.

Coach Walter Mazzarri will have an almost full squad following the return of Osimhen over the weekend. The Super Eagles star got off the bench to assist Napoli’s second goal over the weekend, but the Nigerian would likely start against Real Madrid.

Ahead of the game, coach Ancelotti has praised Osimhen, but he has plans to ensure that the Nigerian does not function.

“Kvara is formidable one-on-one, Osimhen is a complete attacker, very strong with his head and in transitions,” Ancelotti said per Napoli Magazine.

“We took all this into account in the first leg, and we will try to take it into account tomorrow too.”

A victory for Napoli would seal their place in the round of 16. Osimhen is yet to score in the Champions League this season, and he will be looking to open his account on Wednesday.
